Our Rector: Father Chris has been our rector since November of 1996. He was born in Bisbee, Arizona, on May 21, 1959 to Father Richard & Jeanine Cantrell. He entered school in Bisbee. In 1966 he moved to Tucson, Arizona. After three years of High School at Tucson High School, and a brief bounce through Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas, he graduated from Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida in the spring of 1977. He graduated from Young Harris College in the mountains of North Georgia in June of 1980 with an Associate of Fine Arts degree. He then graduated from Valdosta State College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. In 1986, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Nashotah House Seminary in Nashotah, Wisconsin. He was ordained to the Diaconate, June 7, 1986, and to the Sacred Priesthood, February 13, 1987. Since then he has served congregations in the diocese of Georgia, Oklahoma, and Fort Worth. In 1991 he married his wife, Karen. They have four daughters, Sarah DeBorde, Lauren Novak, Hannah (17), and Lydia (15) and a grandson, Jackson (6). Fr. Chris serves as president of the Diocesan Standing Committee, an elected Diocesan Deputy, and Dean of the Fort Worth West Deanery. He is a former three time Deputy to General Convention He is a member of Forward in Faith North America (FiFNA), the Catholic Clerical Union (CCU), and is the Provincial Secretary/Registrar as well as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Chapter of Our Lady of Walsingham of the Society of the Holy Cross (SSC).
